Innovations in Ultrasonic Testing

Ultrasonic testing is a technology that has rapidly acquired industry acceptance as a valid method of NDT weld testing and inspection. This technology has resulted in Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) taking over the traditional inspection methods in the onshore and offshore pipeline inspection markets. The detection of cracks, flaws, leaks, corrosion and pitting in pipeline welds can be completed more quickly, more accurately, and more affordably than ever before with UT Scan.

Produced by UT Technology Inc., UT Scan is a multi-probe system incorporating the TOFD function. Once your pipeline welds are automatically tested, the data is transmitted to an operator to be audited, verified and approved. Mainlines, repairs or tie-ins can be tested in a continuous cycle with no costly delays to you. Pipeline integrity is ensured with our enhanced testing processes.

Use the best AUT multi-probe technology available in today's market!

UT Scan incorporates the most advanced, industry-leading AUT multi-probe technology in order to provide our customers with the highest quality AUT data using software that is fully integrated with high-end IT platforms accessible anywhere in the world.

UT Scan's total design concept was targeted towards achieving low-cost manufacturing, flexibility, reliability and satisfying current industry demands and wishes. UT Scan is the only AUT system which is not susceptible to the production-hindering problem of Radio Frequency interference noise.

Our experienced management team

UT Quality’s management team has over 100 combined years of experience in the pipeline inspection industry, and in the development of weld testing equipment and nondestructive testing techniques and procedures. The team is committed to removing barriers to efficiency, productivity and growth.

UT Scan was developed by Adrian Met and Adrianus Elvers. They have brought their expertise and skills to the pipeline industry with cutting-edge automated welding quality analysis, fully integrated reporting and data management.

Adrian Met founded and managed several NDT firms that pioneered the implementation of AUT in Canada over a period of 25 years. Adrianus Elvers is an electronics expert and manager, responsible for the early and subsequent versions of AUT equipment globally, in the shop, and on pipeline projects.
